The Beginning

A private, permanent capital, investment company aimed at consciously and deliberately making investments in, and forming partnerships with, companies and individuals that are committed to making an enduring and sustainable positive social or societal impact, has been a long-standing dream and ambition of each member of the Conscious Capital Team. 

Years ago, a dream was born!  The vision was, and is, the future! The time is now! Our journey starts here… Join us!

Who We Are

Conscious Capital is a privately held, majority black-woman-owned, permanent capital investment company founded that was founded in 2020.  Headquartered in Johannesburg[, and with a presence in Mauritius], Conscious Capital is a pan-African investment company. 

Founded by like-minded, entrepreneurial, individuals who are all proudly South African, and proudly African, we invest where know, and in what we know!

Making an Impact

At Conscious Capital, our vision is to make a positive social or societal impact in everything that we do, and to help identify, develop and implement solutions that help solve the society’s most challenging problems.  Founded on, and grounded by, the principle of consciousness, at Conscious Capital we act consciously and with conscience.

While Conscious Capital is not strictly an impact investment company, we do focus exclusively on making investments in, and forming partnerships with, companies and individuals who are committed to making a positive social or societal impact.

Whilst Conscious Capital is not a black economic empowerment (BEE) firm, we boast exceptional BEE credentials, which is an extremely attractive and necessary value-add for our South African portfolio companies and partners.

We are passionately committed to partnering with, building and growing sustainable and enduring business that positively impact the societies in which they operate, and will only invest in, and partner with, companies exclusively on making investments in, and forming partnerships with, companies and where Conscious Capital can add significant and meaningful long-term value.

  7. We have a measured approach to risk. Risk is inherent in any investment decision, but Conscious Capital takes a measured approach to assuming risk.  In any investment decision, we will sacrifice an extra percentage point of return if it means assuming a disproportionate amount

  8. Ethics and exceptional governance are non-negotiable. There are too many examples of companies, businesses and individuals where this a complete lack of ethics, morality and a commitment to exceptional governance.  At Conscious Capital, these values are a way of life.
